Accept - Wacken 2014

Review by Sann Hartmann

The album Wacken 2014 by Accept is a must-have for any metal fan. The band's performance at the Wacken Open Air festival was nothing short of phenomenal, and this album captures that energy perfectly. The crowd's enthusiasm is infectious, and the band feeds off of it, delivering a powerful set filled with classic tracks and newer material. The guitar work is particularly impressive, with Wolf Hoffmann and Herman Frank trading blistering solos throughout the set. Udo Dirkschneider's replacement, Mark Tornillo, also shines on vocals, delivering the songs with passion and energy. Wacken 2014 is a fantastic live album that showcases Accept at their very best. Highly recommended.

German heavy metal band from the town of Solingen, originally assembled in the early 1976s by vocalist . Their beginnings can be traced back to the late 1960s, when the band got its start under the name Band X. Accept's lineup has changed over the years, which has included different singers, guitarists, bassists and drummers. Accept have broken up and reformed multiple times. They first split up in 1989, several months after the release of Eat the Heat (which was their only album with Dirkschneider's initial replacement David Reece), but reformed in 1992 and released three more albums before disbanding again in 1997. After briefly reuniting in 2005, Accept announced their third reunion in 2009, with former T.T. Quick frontman Mark Tornillo replacing Dirkschneider.
