TLC in a nutshell
I talk to myself out loud all the time
RIP Kevin Conroy
I know this is super late but did anyone mention that the police actually do have a database of gang tattoos and identifiable marks? Kind of stupid to call it a tattoo scanner but.....
Anybody catch that the guy wanting to be frozen looks exactly like Walt Disney?
The media in general is to blame.
would you believe it I just found out today that Kevin Conroy passed away like a month ago while trying to rematch BTAS. RIP what a legend
It might already have been mentioned here but in the Demons Quest Part 2 episode, it was Talia who kisses Batman and slips the lock pick in his mouth, so he can use it to escape. As you said that it was weird how Batman always keeps a lock pick in his mouth. I just wanted to “correct” it.
Still love season 1 and 2 the best but season 3 still better than anything on tv today
27:30 you laugh about the tattoo scanner but some PDs in real life keep files of gang tattoos. You see it sometimes on Cops or on Live PD where they take pictures of a suspects tats to check to see if they're affiliated with any gangs.
"Do you think what Lock-up does is wrong?"
Yes. Without hesitation. Lock-up does the exact same thing that psychos like Two-face, Mad Hatter, and even the Joker do. The only difference is that he directs these impulses at people that are labeled as criminals, just to get a sense of justification. If the suprevillains move out of Gotham, Lock-up will still have these impulses, and will move to torturing people who have done things as benign as littering. Also, rehabilitation is already extremely difficult - not for the lack of intention on the criminal's part, but because the system is stacked against them. Torturing inmates only makes that worse.
This episode actually works better nowadays, then back when it aired. How many times did you see some controversy on the internet, with tons of people just dogpiling somebody, sayng the most vile stuff to them. Look at these people and consider how many of them do NOT fit the below mantra:
"I will ruin this person's life and wish the most horrible crimes and death on them, just to show everybody what a good person I am."
Now think if that mantra describes an honestly good person, or a horrible scumbag.
