Review by Kay Kulkarni

Next New Heartbreak, the latest album by Brad Hudson, is a beautiful collection of country songs that showcases the artist's talent for storytelling and emotive singing. The album features ten tracks, each with a distinct sound and style that keeps the listener engaged from start to finish.

The opening track, "Next New Heartbreak," sets the tone for the album, with its catchy chorus and relatable lyrics about love and heartbreak. The following tracks, including "Don't Wanna Lose You" and "One More Time," continue to explore the theme of love and relationships, with Hudson's powerful vocals bringing each song to life.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Bottle," a haunting ballad that showcases Hudson's range and ability to convey deep emotion through his singing. The song is beautifully arranged, with a haunting piano melody and subtle guitar work that add to the overall atmosphere.

About Brad Hudson

Brad started singing and playing music at the age of three in church in North Carolina. The first instrument Brad taught himself how to play was the guitar, but soon began to experiment with the banjo and dobro. On his sixth birthday, his dad and mom gave him his first guitar, where he would play consistently, teaching himself how to play. In high school, he decided that he wanted to take part and join Richland Highs marching band, where he would become part of the drum line. After graduation, Brad became an instrumentalist and singer with Lorraine Jordan and Carolina Road. He started traveling all over the country and continued to do so for almost four years. Knowing that their were more opportunities out for him to explore, he moved to one of the biggest tourist areas, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, where he would begin singing and playing at the Country Tonite Theatre. He made a name for himself there and became a part of the Dollywood family, and sat in with the bluegrass band Monroeville at times. For five years, Brad was known for his beautiful tenor voice and his amazing string playing in the Smoky Mountains. In September of 2014, he was given the option to go back out on the road, but this time, he would join Jeff & Sheri Easter. Guitar, banjo, dobro, mandolin, fiddle, bass, you name it, he plays it. Brad now resides in Seymour, TN. Summer of 2015, Brad rejoined Carolina Road to perform songs that he took part in from the Country Grass Project.
