About Cantor Sholom Katz

Born in Rumania. Trained at the Musical Academy in Vienna. Before WWII he was the chief cantor of Kishineff, Bessarabia. He was interred by the Nazis in concentration camps but survived the war. He later immigrated to the United States. He died in 1982.
