Dosh - Triple Rock

Review by Gordon Acker

Triple Rock, the latest album by Dosh, is a mesmerizing and eclectic collection of instrumental tracks that showcase the artist's versatility and creativity. From the opening track "We Are the Worst," with its pulsing beats and hypnotic loops, to the dreamy and atmospheric "Golden Silver," Dosh takes the listener on a journey through a wide range of sonic landscapes.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Subtractions," which features a haunting piano melody that gradually builds into a frenzied crescendo of drums and electronic textures. Another highlight is "Gare de Lyon," a moody and evocative piece that blends acoustic and electronic elements in a way that is both haunting and beautiful.

Throughout Triple Rock, Dosh demonstrates his mastery of live looping and improvisation, creating complex and intricate arrangements that are both intricate and accessible. The album also features several guest musicians, including Andrew Bird and Mike Lewis, whose contributions add depth and texture to Dosh's already rich sonic palette.
