Jarv Is, the British rock band fronted by Jarvis Cocker, has returned with their latest album, Must I Evolve. The album is a collection of nine tracks that showcase the band's unique sound and Cocker's distinctive vocals.

The album opens with the title track, "Must I Evolve," which sets the tone for the rest of the album with its driving beat and catchy chorus. The second track, "Am I Missing Something," is a standout with its funky bassline and Cocker's sarcastic lyrics.

Throughout the album, the band experiments with different sounds and styles, from the dreamy "Swanky Modes" to the pulsing "Children of the Echo." The album closes with "Save the Whale," a haunting ballad that showcases Cocker's emotive vocals.

About Jarv Is

Jarv Is& a band featuring Jarvis Cocker (vocals, guitar, percussion), Serafina Steer (harp, keyboards, vocals), Emma Smith (violin, guitar vocals), Andrew McKinney (bass, vocals), Jason Buckle (synthesiser and electronic treatments) and Adam Betts (drums, percussion, vocals). Jarv Is& formed to play a show at the Sigur Ros Norður og Niður festival in Iceland at the very end of 2017. Jarv Is& was conceived as a way of writing songs in collaboration with an audience. As the material they were playing was in a state of flux the band decided to record their live shows so that they could monitor how the songs were developing. After an appearance at the Desert Daze festival in California, Geoff Barrow (Portishead, Beak>) suggested that these recordings could be used as the basis for an album. Overdubs and vocals were added at Narcissus Studios in Neasden, London. Post-production work took place at Jason Buckles Place du Big Boss studio in Raynes Park, London.{;}English musician and radio presenter who has also taken up acting, journalism and writing. He was born on September 19, 1963, in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England. Formed Pulp when he was 15, originally calling it Arabacus Pulp. In 2002-2003 he took on the disguise of as the voice of . In 2021 he took on the character Tip-Top, a singer mentioned in the film The French Dispatch by Wes Anderson, to release the album . Previously worked as a fishmonger.

Jarvis Cocker, best known as the leader of England's Pulp, is back with a new single built around his unique, sensually passionate whisper of a voice and some thought-provoking lyrics. The song has a droney keyboard core, prominent backing vocals and a chilling psychedelic/classic rock twist. Other band members have played in Bas Jan, The Elysian Quartet, The James Taylor Quartet, Melt Yourself Down, more. "Must I Evolve?" is a multi-faceted British indie pop/rocker with a compelling feel that's both classic and odd. Recommended.

this reminds me of several Science Fiction movies with people turning into different monsters. It gives me scary vibes as if it was Halloween at that time. I love this song so much. Absolutely amazing.
