We all know Burton was a King of actors...but David Essexs vocals were amazing too as the artillery man....

When I was a kid, if me and my brother naughty, our parents wouldn't threaten to play it. Coz it scared us so much ? Know its one off my favourite things ever ?

I still cherish the double vinyl album. It is an epic masterpiece!
The beauty of this musical, you fill in the images in your mind and make your own movie
Loved this. Not many know it was later followed up by "Spartacus" the musical by Jeff Wayne. Just as great. Worth checking out.
My tapes of this were worn out from playing and at the age of 86 I still enjoy listening to this.
HMS Thunderchild, what a great name for a ship
I have the record!
Dont understand any of this
My brother introduced me to the Moody Blues in 1985. Since then I always had a special deep, almost mystical connection to them. I discovered Forever Autumn on my own, yet no one I knew had ever heard of it. I was beginning to second guess myself, thinking maybe I dreamt up the song! (I thought, it was pretty good if I just thought it up!) Finally, I heard it again, and learned it was sung by my beloved Justin Hayward! Much later I learned that it was part of this magnificent dramatic musical performance. I played it for my once wife. She was the love of my life, but the detractors forced us apart. After just under 2yrs, with a broken heart, I granted her divorce. She wasn't called Carrie, but Forever Autumn, will always touch my broken heart... " ...'cause you're not here..."
I've got this on DVD and Double cd had it for years best DvD and Double CD I've ever had.
I'm so glad my music teacher played this for us back in 78, I'll never let this go.
