Notes
- Dutch release from 1972, green label
- From the liner notes: "This disc compiles 26 of his fan favorites and most successful songs from the 1950s."
- Reissue of the 1959 album "The One And Only Lefty Frizzell" plus 14 bonus tracks.
- This compilation ℗ and © 2015 Southern Routes, Ltd. Country of Origin: UK. Manufactured in Czech Republic.
- 2 x 3 panel digipak.
- Same as Lefty Frizzell - The One And Only Lefty Frizzell, but with different text layout on labels, and has 5 printed on the lower right corner of the back cover.
- I didn't recognize any of the Columbia pressing plant stamps or etches. Under "More images" there are two photos, one for Side 1 and one for Side 2, that show etchings that I'm unfamiliar with seeing.
- Red/white label promo
- This LP was originally released in 1959.
- This is a slightly later pressing. Red label, with 2 eye logos, and "guaranteed high fidelity" at bottom.

Comments
Lefty Frizell was the greatest singer in the history of country music - sitting at the Apex of what Roy Acuff and Ernest Tubb had built, surpassing his contemporary and rival Hank Williams (the two men disliked each other intensely) and setting out the template for singers as diverse as George Jones, Roy Orbison (whose moniker in the Travelling Wilburys was "Lefty", in tribute) and Willie Nelson. His only true peer was Patsy Cline. This album serves as a sufficient introduction to his greatness, but you could do worse than buy the 12 disc "Life' Like Poetry" box set - classic on classic on classic.
