Review by Rafael Granados

The album "I Think Of You Mr Moonlight" by Merseybeats is a nostalgic trip down memory lane for fans of 60s pop music. The album is a collection of 14 tracks that showcase the band's signature sound, which is a blend of rock and roll, doo-wop, and R&B.

The album starts with the title track "I Think Of You Mr Moonlight," which is a catchy tune with a memorable chorus. The song sets the tone for the rest of the album, which is filled with upbeat and energetic tracks like "Milkman," "Really Mystified," and "Mister You're A Better Man Than I."

The Merseybeats also show their softer side with ballads like "Wishin' and Hopin'" and "Last Night I Made A Little Girl Cry." These tracks showcase the band's harmonies and vocal prowess.

One of the top, truly talented groups of that era. Too bad they didn't have a Svengali pushing them, like others I could name...

No cabe duda qué el cuarteto de Liverpool, grabó muchas canciones qué antes ya habían sido Grabadas. Por otras Agrupaciones, y ésto desde mi punto de vista indica qué No eran tan buenose como todo el mundo creé.

The first known recording of the song was by blues pianist Piano Red, recording as "Dr. Feelgood and the Interns". It was released as a B-side of a minor rhythm & blues hit single (titled "Dr. Feelgood") in 1962.[1] The record became something of a cult favorite among several young British R&B enthusiasts, some of whom would soon go on to become members of well-known bands.

Another emerging beat group, The Hollies, recorded and released their own performance of the song with Graham Nash on lead vocals prior to the Beatles' version.

In addition, the same song was also covered by the Merseybeats in 1963. It entered Vancouver's CFUN chart April 18, 1964.

A Spanish cover was recorded by the Mexican vocal trio Los Apson Boys titled "Triste Luna".

Tony's voice is perfect for this song.... wonderful. x

Lennon's intense vocal on the Beatles' version makes the record. This one is pablum in comparison.

What I think most people overlook & what I love about The Beatles version is - they do it "tongue in cheek" organ solo and all
