Milk Coffee Sugar's self-titled album is a delightful blend of jazz, soul, and hip-hop. The trio, consisting of Milk (vocals), Coffee (piano), and Sugar (drums), has crafted a sound that is both smooth and funky, with lyrics that are introspective and insightful.
The album opens with "Intro (Milk Coffee Sugar)," a brief instrumental that sets the tone for the rest of the record. "No More" follows, showcasing Milk's soulful vocals over Coffee's jazzy piano chords and Sugar's tight drumming. "Daydreaming" is a standout track, with Milk's lyrics painting vivid pictures of a daydreaming mind, and Coffee's piano solo adding a dreamy quality to the song.
Other highlights include "Love is Strange," a funky love song with a catchy chorus, and "Take Me Higher," an upbeat track about striving for success. The album closes with "Outro (Milk Coffee Sugar)," a reprise of the opening instrumental that brings the record full circle.
