Rough Shop's latest album, Lit Up Like A Christmas Tree, is a delightful addition to their discography. The St. Louis-based band has crafted a collection of 11 original holiday-themed songs that showcase their talents as songwriters and performers.

The album opens with the title track, a rollicking tune that sets the tone for the rest of the record. The band's signature blend of folk, rock, and country is on full display, with jangly guitars, harmonica, and a driving rhythm section. The lyrics are clever and catchy, painting a vivid picture of a festive, brightly lit neighborhood.

Throughout the album, Rough Shop explores a range of moods and styles, from the wistful nostalgia of "Christmas in the Country" to the raucous, party-ready "Santa's Got a Brand New Bag." The band's musicianship is top-notch, with standout performances from guitarist Andy Ploof and bassist Anne Tkach.
