Review by RIT Tour Guide

Lekta, the latest album by Sean Tyas, showcases the American DJ and producer's unique take on trance music. The album features 11 tracks, each with its own distinct style and sound.

From the opening track "The World" to the closing track "Chrome", Lekta takes listeners on a journey through a range of emotions and moods. Tyas' signature sound is evident throughout the album, with soaring melodies, driving basslines, and intricate production.

One standout track is "Matter of Time", which features haunting vocals and a pulsing beat that builds to a euphoric climax. "Black & White" is another highlight, with its catchy melody and uplifting energy.

And then there was Hydro! And so it appeared our prayers had been answered!

well one of the styles sure isn't trance, which is what got him popular. He's just going slow and dark and leaving melody and vocals behind like many other people who got popular making trance.

But it's a business... gotta appeal to the masses.
mkhater567
I said it was dubstep influenced... I never called it dubstep.
mc9441148
ok, just looking for clarification. I don't think Sean's ever going back to his old style again btw. Personally, I think it sounds pretty cool. He was younger back when he created his Hard Trance, so that probably has a slight influence on his style change. I've noticed that a lot of producers/DJs have a major change to their style after they turn 30 for some reason :P. Don't ask me why, it just seems to happen that way lol.

true words tmea94....very true words!!!
shenlynn97
sorry, but dubstep is counted in 2. This is clearly counted in 4. It's Electro-Trance. It can still be inspired by dubstep, but this track itself is not dubstep.
rozesalonhaarlem
if you say EDM, then you clearly don't even know what trance is.

EDM not IDM, sillybutt

Close-minded? How am I close-minded? I talked to him personally and he told me he was changing up his style and that this track along with his remix of Midnight are both dubstep influenced.

There is a huge difference between this track and Lift... one is trance and one isn't. This song he is not technically classified as trance, and as a DJ who's been spinning on radio shows, in clubs, and for conventions, I know a bit about how to separate genres of EDM.
wemonoco
There's no dubstep influences in this track what so ever. Hate close minded people like you on the internet, he's just experimenting with new sounds, if you actually read and listened to interviews with him, he hasn't changed his style at all.

This is great man...

EXCELLENT ! Just love Sean Tyas and this track !

wow this is really good, i´m not really into this type of music can someone tell more musics/artists that ressemble this ?
20vilo
Maybe it's not trying to be trance? Seriously just because a specific "pure" style of music exists doesn't mean that genres can only be one or the other. For some people fusion can be just as enjoyable of a listen.
jacobestrada0701
...hard to listen to mass produced electro. House brings out the worst of people. The evolved form is pure market. You can't tell me that all of a sudden, EDM is cool. EDM has been around a long time now. Just a bunch of bandwagoners! People who no longer enjoy their old music. Which what will happen to this new style.
mnafilulm
Because when it's done properly like in this case it sounds fuckin' awsome. Amazing song by Sean Tyas. Just my opinion of course :)
