TBone Walker - T Bone Shuffle

Review by Peter Reginald

T Bone Walker's album T Bone Shuffle is a true masterpiece of blues music. The album, released in 1991, showcases Walker's incredible talent as a guitarist and singer. With a mix of classic blues tracks and original compositions, T Bone Shuffle is an essential addition to any blues fan's collection.

The album opens with the title track, "T Bone Shuffle," a swinging instrumental that sets the tone for the rest of the record. Walker's guitar playing is simply stunning, with lightning-fast runs and soulful bends that showcase his mastery of the instrument. His vocals are equally impressive, with a rich, deep tone that perfectly complements the music.

Other standout tracks include "Stormy Monday," a slow, sultry ballad that features some of Walker's most emotive guitar playing, and "Reconsider Baby," a classic blues tune that showcases his ability to tell a story through song. The album also includes a number of original compositions, including the upbeat "Papa Ain't Salty" and the funky "Two Bones and a Pick."

Thanks for the post !

What a terrific little combo. That sax solo from Bumps Myers is pretty awesome - I thought it was Lester Young before I looked for the listing. And Billy Hadnott, on bass, was in Charlie Parker's band for many years, and he could really swing.
