Review by Giacomo Luca

The album "Выдающиеся Пианисты" by И С Бах Глен Гульд is a mesmerizing masterpiece that showcases the virtuosity and technical brilliance of one of the greatest pianists of all time. The album features some of Bach's most iconic compositions, including the Goldberg Variations, Partitas, and Preludes, all of which are performed with stunning precision and musicality by Glenn Gould.

The album is a perfect synthesis of Gould's unique musical vision and his unparalleled technical prowess. The pianist's signature style of playing, characterized by his lightning-fast fingers and precise articulation, is on full display throughout the album. Yet, what sets this album apart from other classical recordings is Gould's ability to infuse each note with a deep emotional resonance, creating a truly transcendent listening experience.

The recording quality of the album is also worth noting, as it captures every nuance of Gould's playing with remarkable clarity and richness. The balance between the piano and the acoustics of the recording space is perfect, allowing the listener to fully immerse themselves in the music.

About И С Бах Глен Гульд

Johann Sebastian Bach was born on March 21, 1685 in Eisenach, Thuringia, Germany. A prolific German composer and organist, his sacred and secular works for choir, orchestra and solo instruments drew together the strands of the baroque genre and brought it to its ultimate maturity. Although he introduced no new forms, he enriched the prevailing German style with a robust contrapuntal technique, a control of harmonic and motivic organisation from the smallest to the largest scales, and the adaptation of rhythms and textures from abroad, particularly Italy and France. Many people consider him to be the greatest Baroque composer, and one of the greatest composers of all time. Revered for their intellectual depth, technical command and artistic beauty, J.S. Bach's works include the Brandenburg concertos, the keyboard suites and partitas, the Mass in B Minor, the St. Matthew Passion, The Musical Offering, The Art of Fugue and a large number of cantatas, of which about 220 survive. He died on July 28, 1750. Some of his sons also became composers - , , and .
