Centurian - Choronzonic Chaos Gods

Centurian's latest offering, Choronzonic Chaos Gods, is a relentless assault on the senses. From the opening track, "Invocation of the Continual One", the listener is bombarded with a wall of sound that never lets up. The band's signature blend of death and black metal is on full display here, with lightning-fast riffs, pummeling drums, and guttural vocals that sound like they're coming from the depths of hell itself.
But what sets Choronzonic Chaos Gods apart from other extreme metal albums is the sheer level of technical proficiency on display. The musicianship is top-notch, with intricate guitar solos and lightning-fast drum fills that are sure to impress even the most discerning metalheads. And yet, despite the complexity of the music, it never feels like the band is showing off or indulging in technical wankery. Everything serves the songs, which are all killer, no filler.
Standout tracks include "Judgment Upon the Winged", which features some of the album's most memorable riffs, and "The Adversarial Incentive Within All", which showcases the band's knack for crafting epic, multi-part compositions that never lose momentum. But really, every track on Choronzonic Chaos Gods is a winner, making it a must-have for fans of extreme metal.

Dutch Death Metal band Centurian were a generic brand of post-Deicide/Sinister/Cannibal Corpse rip-off. Their 1999 debut, Chronozonic Chaos Gods, is a brand of D-tuned Death Metal with constant blast-beats and diminished tremolo guitar swirls, and is totally devoid of distinctiveness.

Such an underrated band. To bad Watain got the chance to break through, while there are so many other good bands with same ideology. Think of God Dethroned, Vinterland etc. They mostdefinitely weren't the first once.
