Review by Joshua DeGrasse-Baumann

Les Gens De Mon Pays, the album by Les Cabestans, is a beautiful and emotional tribute to the people of their country. The album features a variety of musical styles, including traditional folk songs and contemporary pop, all infused with the band's unique blend of energy and passion.

The album opens with the title track, a stirring anthem that pays tribute to the people of the band's home region. From there, the album moves through a range of moods and styles, from the upbeat and danceable "Le Temps Des Fleurs" to the haunting and melancholy "Les Yeux Noirs".

Throughout the album, Les Cabestans showcase their impressive musicianship, with tight harmonies and intricate arrangements that showcase the band's skill and creativity. The lyrics, too, are powerful and evocative, capturing the spirit and soul of the people and places that inspired them.
