About Los Ruffino

Family Quartet established in the early 1950's as "Cuarteto Ruffino" made up of Mercedes VillaVerde (Mamá Ruffino); husband Ignacio Ruffino and their children Carlos & Julie. They made their debut in La Habana, Cuba. They were active until the early 1970's. During their European stay, they also used the alternative name "Los Cuatro d'RUFF". After "Papá" Ruffino's death in 1973, Mamá Ruffino and Julie acted as a duo: "Las Ruffino" (1974-1984).
