Dead Fox is a compilation album featuring various artists from different genres. The album opens with a haunting track by the indie-folk band, The Staves. Their ethereal harmonies and melancholic lyrics set the tone for the rest of the album.
Other notable tracks include "Shark Smile" by the indie rock band Big Thief, which showcases the lead singer's unique vocal style and the band's ability to create a sense of urgency through their music. "Bored in the USA" by Father John Misty is a satirical take on American culture, with witty lyrics and a catchy melody.
The album also features tracks by lesser-known artists, such as the ambient electronic duo, Grouper, and the experimental artist, Julie Byrne. These tracks add a sense of diversity to the album and keep the listener engaged.
