Review by Nemellia

Jenny Wren's latest album, The Thought Of You, is a captivating and soulful collection of songs that showcases her exceptional talent as a singer-songwriter. With a voice that is both powerful and delicate, Wren delivers each lyric with authenticity and emotion, drawing the listener in and holding them spellbound.

The album's opening track, "Hold On To Me," sets the tone for the rest of the record with its haunting melody and heartfelt lyrics. From there, Wren takes the listener on a journey through a range of emotions, from the melancholic "Broken Dreams" to the uplifting "Rise Up."

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Lost and Found," a beautiful ballad that showcases Wren's ability to craft a memorable melody and lyrics that are both poignant and relatable. The song builds to a powerful crescendo, with Wren's soaring vocals and the lush instrumentation creating a truly epic moment.

She released two records on Fontana, Chasing My Dream All Over Town and The Merry-Go-Round Is Slowing You Down. In the 1970s as Jenny Darren she released four albums of which 'Queen of Fools' was the most successful. She returned to recording in 2017 after a long hiatus.
